![]() A lion in the meadow is a book I remember having read to me as a child and in turn I’ve shared it with my. Years ago at a Children’s Librarians conference in Christchurch, I was wearing a skirt with a pavlova tea-towel as the front panel. She started drawing as a very young child, making up stories about the characters she created and her drawings have appeared in many different types of books, including fairy tales and nursery rhymes, animal stories and folk tales, published throughout the world. I have a very embarrassing story about meeting her once. A native of London, Williams was educated at the Wimbledon School of Art and University of London.
